Mike Morrill

Senior District Manager

I first learned about the program while sitting in my first ever college lecture, at UMass Amherst, when Kevin Hiselman (NE General Manager) came into the class and made an announcement about the opportunity. I was thrilled to learn about it as a freshman, and decided to go through the interview process. After being awarded a spot on the NE team, I launched my business that spring. Under the guidance of my mentor Kevin, and the leadership team, I ran a successful $135,000 business. During that year I learned and grew a ton from the experience and got to add the fact that I ran my business during a global pandemic. I was offered an opportunity to take the next step in the internship and return for a second year as an executive, which I was extremely excited for. During that second year I coached two students and oversaw a total of $400,000 in revenue across our three branches. This broke the profit and revenue average record for a rookie executive led team for that year. When faced with the decision to return for a third year, it was a no-brainer as I got to continue working with my previous two rookie managers, helping them scale their own teams, and my own group of rookie managers. That year I oversaw $1.1 million in revenue across 16 branches in the NE region. I am now back for my fourth year with YEAA where I plan to support a team of 2-3 managers and can't wait to help them achieve their personal and professional goals with our program! Go team NE!
