Please be advised I have used Student Painters. I find them to be an excellent group of young men. They are very professional and very much anxious to please. They didn’t allow a very complicated and difficult house to stand in the way of a first class paint job. Neither did they allow 90+ degree temperatures to interfere with their work. They started on time every morning, they cleaned and put away their equipment every night. At the end of each day, that I might add, usually ended well after 5 o’clock, they checked with me to inquire if there was anything else that I might want them to do. When the work was complete, they placed all the flower pots into their original positions, they hung the shutters and replaced the shutter dogs.
This home improvement project, that could have been a very trying experience for a 70+ year old widow, has been a good experience. My house looks brand new and very up to date.
With young men like these in the world, we do not have to be concerned about the future of our country.

This Spring I noticed that the 10 x 8′ metal shed in my backyard was in desperate need of new paint. The hard winter caused the roof to blister and the paint to peel off. I had contacted a professional painter who was asking for quite a bit of money.
Luckily, as I was driving through town running errands, I saw the Student Painters sign in the front yard of a local business. I immediately pulled over and copied down the phone number. I was familiar with another company who uses college students to paint as I had them paint my exterior woodwork about 10 years ago. They did a good job so I figured I’d give you a try.
I called the number and very shortly after that a very pleasant, knowledgeable young man came to look at my shed and give me an estimate. We set up an appointment for the students to come and start working. They cleaned and sanded the shed and then painted it. I did not have to be home for them to come and work. However, I was home part of the time. They took care to clean up any mess and the painting was neat and met with my approval. They were careful to get the exact colors of paint that I wanted. The price was reasonable for the paint and the work, and I enjoyed talking to these young men while they were working. They were dressed appropriately, pleasant, and tried getting my shed done in the time allotted, although the weather did not cooperate several times over the 2-3 days. I am extremely happy with the young men, they job they did, and the price I had to pay. I would most definitely recommend Student Painters to my friends and family. I will call again if I ever have any outdoor painting needs.

This letter is to advice you I was completely happy with the cleaning work done on my home this spring. After speaking on the telephone with Landon, I requested that he come to the house and perform work for me consisting of cleaning a large exterior, end wall of my home. This was vinyl siding which had developed a lot of moldy spots—I believe this was on the north side. Even though this was not a large project, Landon knew it was important to me and assured me e would do a thorough job.
Typically, I keep a close eye on people who are working on my home, but somehow I just knew that that would not be necessary with Landon. He patiently answered all my questions ahead of time, and told me what to expect from his services. He was quite professional and I felt very confident that he would take care of the problem for me. He had to get on a tall ladder to reach into the peak of that wall. I was happy that he did not condone the unnecessary use of chemicals. The wall looks beautifully clean now.

In March of 2015 I found a flyer in my front door from Alex Jackman for Student Painters. I was not planning to have my house painted but was so impressed with his credentials, I kept it. In April I had some of the wood outside replaced and the carpenter said my house should be painted and to not wait too long. I got the flyer and called Alex. We set up an appointment and he called on that day to confirm. He came over on time , with a nice smile, and shook my hand. I told him what I wanted and he then did a very detailed estimate. He went over everything on the estimate and asked if I had any questions. I accepted his proposal.
In June Alex called and asked if his crew could start the following week. Alex came and power washed the house and a few days later Anthony and two other young men came and started the prep work and after that the painting. They were professional, neat, and polite, and they did a great job. Alex checked in to see if everything was to my satisfaction, and it was.
I highly recommend Alex and his crew with Student Painters. I have had a few other, older, painters over the years and Alex and his crew did as good as or even better.

I would like to express my gratitude for the services of The Student Painters. I employed them in 2013 and again in 2015. The painters I contracted were under the management of Spenser Suski. I have so appreciated this young man's management skills and training of his crews. When I first employed them, my husband had just passed. All of these things were relatively new to me having had a husband who took care of the maintenance issues. Spenser was alwayers there for me to advise me on the replacement of boards above the upper floor before they could paint, caulking in areas that needed it and other problems. His crew also painted my garage which was more than what they expected. Everything was done in precision, efficiency and always on time. No one slacked. There was never any foul language used. Every crew member including Spenser was curteous, helpful, and hauled heavy things not under contract for them to do concerning the garage. They were all a life saver and reinforced in me great hope in our future generation of workers.
I would like to also express my gratitude for the many conversations Spenser and I shared, not just about painting but life, school, and future. I found him genuine, sincere, and interested in with whom he talked. Even while walking through our community when I would see him, he never failed to make a point to stop and talk with me. At the end of summer, I found a hammer on my steps from Spenser apologizing for the lost hammer they borrowed from me. I'm not even sure if that was the case, there was so much going on, but he made it a point to purchase a new one for me just in case it had been accidentally taken in the clean up. Impeccable honesty is rare now a days, so this only endeared Spenser more to me than ever. He is likeable, genuine, sincere and capable of succeeding in whatever he decides to do in life.
This year reemploying them was no exception to the first year. Again, a new crew but the same skilled training from their manager provided the confidence to expect another good job well done. Anyone who paints a house these days wonders if he/she should hire one the the dozens of commercial painting companies hitting their mail and doorknobs or risk hiring a “student painter”. Just wanted to drop a note to tell you how impressed my husband and I were with the Student Painters who worked at our house this spring.I have lots of perennials all around the house and I was quite concerned with all the foot traffic and ladders that would be all around where my plants are. And then, a robin decided to build a nest in the crab tree right next to the house. By the time the boys started on the project, 2 eggs had hatched and 2 more eggs were on the verge.
Well, my worries were totally unnecessary as all my plants survived and the baby robins-all 4 of them-grew up and left the nest!
We chose the color stain we wanted from a large choice of samples and they did an excellent job of painting. No messes at all! They went the extra mile with a mildew issue we had and still completed the job on time.

We had our house painted in May of 2012 by Student Painters. At the time of the initial bid, we were told to expect painters to start work on our house in May, and they were true to their word. Our house is 30 years old and only had the original paint on it. Student Painters took great care of prepping the house, and even told us of window frames that were rotting and needing replacement. They told us they would paint those windows last in order to give us the opportunity to fix them. They verified with us that the color paint they would purchase was the same as the original coat before starting the job. That was no easy task since the color was 30 years old and very faded on the house itself.
The manager of the job was very particular that no spots were missed ( it was essentially a white color of paint and hard to tell in the bright sunshine whether coverage was complete). He had the crew come back in the early morning when the house was shaded to double check that the coat color and application was even. He was not satisfied even when I could not tell of any discrepanies in the paint job. I could not ask for a more conscientious individual, especially in this day and age of rare customer service. The manager was professional and polite and, at all times, was concerned that I was completely satified.
The crew worked quickly and efficiently and completed my house in no time at all. They cleaned up after themselves each night and stored their equipement out of the way while on the job. They did not leave my yard a mess when finished.
I would recommend Student Painters to anyone wanting their house painted.

Following a bad hail stom this past April, I needed work done on my house and deck to repair the damage done by the storm. I contracted Student Painters and could not have been more pleased with the results. Monica Horton came and gave me a description of the work that would be needed and an extremely reasonable price for Student Painters to do the job.
The painting and staining was done exactly as promised, despite the extra effort needed to remove the lead-base paint that was on my house. Extra caution was taken to remove the lead-base paint in accordance with EPA regulations. the job took half a day longer than anticipated because the paint had to be removed by hand rather than power washed, and it was several layers old. I thought one and a half days was more reasonable for so much work.
I am beyond satisfied with the work ethic of all of the young people who worked on the job. They were professional, neat, and obviously took pride in doing a good job. Monica made sure that I was always kept informed of their progress, and discussed all activities with me.
I would recommend Student Painters to anyone who needs a professional paint job done at very reasonable prices. I will definitely use Student Painters for any future painting jobs I might need.

We were very happy with the work that was done for us by the Student Painters. We had our house power washed, the deck power washed, and the deck stained.
The weather was not very cooperative, but Brock Gettemeier, who was the lead person on the project, was very good about getting in touch with us and letting us know when he would be here. There was also a problem with the power washer, but Brock handled the situation very well. Brock and his assistant, Tommy, were very dedicated when they arrived. They stayed late one evening to get the power washing done.
Brock and Tommy were very efficient when it came to staining the deck. I have to say it was a very hot day and they just kept at it. Brock had to leave now and then to check on other projects, Tommy kept on working and Brock would return and jump right back in to help. Again, they stayed late that evening until they got the work done. They kept their work area neat and picked everything up when they left.

I hired the Student Painters under the leadership of Ms. Christine Chow to power-wash my two-story house and paint the front porch (the rest of the house is covered with vinyl siding). The job was completed in a timely manner and the house looks great!
In the past I have completed this job myself. My house is 137 years old, so working on it can be a miserable chore. The Student Painters were prompt, polite and neat; the completed job exceeded my expectations. Also in the past I have contracted with another entrepreneurial “student” group to paint my porch. This group was inefficient and used cheap paint which peeled, with no guarantee provided.
If it hadn’t been for Christine Chow’s positive, efficient sales techniques, I never would have engaged another “student” group. For every problem that I had had with the first group, Ms. Chow had an answer: cheap paint- Sherwin Williams paint; no guarantee- guaranteed for a year; painted when it was too hot, causing bubbling and peeling- painted when promised, late May, temperature appropriate; too costly- less expensive than I had thought it would be.
All said, the work completed on my house by Student Painters under the leadership of Christine Chow was a very positive experience that I would recommend to my neighbors and friends.

My wife and I had the pleasure of contracting to do business with Tom Walker III of Student Painters. He approached us in March of this year and told us about his franchise. We were in need of the services he offered (exterior painting, house washing, and deck cleaning and painting) so we were intrigued by the concept.
As we spent time that day with Tom, he appeared to be a very forthright, honest, and diligent individual. We liked the concept of helping “trained” college students earn money in this fashion, so we agreed to terms.
In early June, as we’d agreed, Tom contacted us to make sure we were still “a go,” which we were. He came out several days before the start of the job just to go over all of the work which we had agreed upon. He was very professional in his demeanor and we were excited to get the project underway.
The following Monday, several of his crew members arrived (even earlier than promised) and got right to work. They diligently worked all day and stayed until well after 5 PM. They finished up our job several days later and Tom spent a good deal of time going over the scope of work to make sure that we were satisfied, which we were.
Tom did a fine job of managing and supervising his crew and they all were well mannered, eager to work, and maintained a clean workspace. Tom’s ability to locate good, college-age workers, motivate them to be on time, pleasant and hard-working, speaks volumes about his leadership qualities.

I contracted with Student Painters in April of 2014 to paint my house in mid May. I had met with Josh Cook who at that time gave me an estimate for my home of approximately 2,800 sq ft. However, as with all my home improvement projects, there was some scope creep, i.e. I decided that there were a few other areas that either needed painting or pressure washing. Obviously, the initial quote had to be adjusted commensurately. To further complicate matters, I needed portions of the painting done at several different dates to allow some other construction remodeling that I was trying to finish. In all cases, Josh and his crew did a great job on time and within quoted budget. They provided all needed tools, ladders, brushes, drop cloths, etc.

I would like to commend the workers and coordinator for the wonderful job they did when painting the exterior of my home. It came out most beautiful. First, Brandon MacGregor was an excellent salesman. He showed me pictures of previous jobs, supplied references and discussed alternatives. He related the products used and their reputation. Also, he brought a paint wheel that made it possible for me to select a few colors to sample. He later brought samples and applied them to hidden surfaces to compare the colors. I was able to make my choice and it was definitely the right one. The house looks beautiful. Brandon made frequent stops while the work was going on to monitor the progress and quality. I can't speak highly enough of him.
Meanwhile, the workers performed diligently and kept things moving. In spite of a few downpours the work was finished in an appropriate amount of time. The workers took time to ensure that any drips or spills were cleaned up, although there were few. Some of the work was a little hazardous because of my steel roof, but I was assured that appropriate precautions would be taken to follow OSHA guidelines for safety. I was very relieved that no one sustained any injuries on the job.
In summary, I would highly recommend your organization to do future work at other locations and I would use them again if my need should arise. Kudos to everyone involved. My neighbors assured me that I can stay here at least another 5 years. I would like to take this opportunity to commend the work I contracted from a group of student painters, managed by Dan Smith from the University of South Carolina. Our initial “estimate” interview was professionally presented and any necessary follow-up was conducted prior to the actual initiation of the painting. The group was even earlier than originally scheduled in getting to my projects, which were completed in a timely manner. Mr. Smith quickly addressed any concerns I expressed in a pleasant and efficient manner. I was extremely satisfied with the final outcome, even now, a month after the painting was concluded. Subsequent to this experience, I would not hesitate to use the Student Painters service in the future and in fact, have recommended the group to others in need of outdoor painting. We have experienced many painting jobs and vendors over the decades. We recently had a truly, professional experience as Student Painters completed our entire home exterior. When we bought our ranch, cedar home nearly 4 years ago, it was somewhat in need of being painted at that time. We knew it had to be done by this year for our home’s protection. We asked around and an acquaintance mentioned Student Painters. We looked at each other and wondered if it would be done right. Fortunately, we both have worked for Fortune companies in various capacities and as consultants and advisors for many years in Atlanta. In other words, we knew exactly how to screen, question, validate, etc.For such an expense, it had to be done right. With our experience in cost assessment, quality control, and risk management, we had confidence it would be completed right due to several factors.

Having a detailed plan discussed from start to finish was great. The tasks mentioned were the correct methods for maximizing the long lasting outcome for years to come of the completed work. The beginning focus was on prep work, the foundation of any painting project lasting long.

The business preference for addressing all issues on a daily basis was to deal with the project manager on site directly. We didn’t want to have to manage the individual painters so, we were thrilled to know that their was a project manager. And the Regional Manager was always available, in case there were any concerns or unresolved issues, which we never experienced. Jason was an excellent project manager.

The quality control included staying organized throughout the project and all were very considerate for keeping the property grounds clean and presentable at all times. Everyday, they finished by cleaning up and returning their ladders and tools to the back of the house neatly.

The costing was fair for the discussed work plans to be performed. They did it all by hand with no sprayers. We also had a 2nd coat put on, since we were changing colors plus it was in bad shape anyway. We have seen vendors such as painters that had no plan such as this team had. This plan was very specific and covered countless detailed items. They had the liability coverage and the 1 year guarantee. We didn’t want a cheap “Painter and Son” painting our home for several weeks and skipping prep work or taking other shortcuts. We wanted a proven, successful team system. These young adults were full of drive, focus, sincerity, and were very, very proud of their work.
When it was done, we had numerous neighbors that would stop and compliment us on the extreme beauty of our home. One told us everything looked new, which is what we were thinking! Sometimes we were actually a little embarrassed because it was noticeably better and a touch more distinguished than the other homes in our immediate part of the neighborhood. We got over that in about 2 days, however. We truly had an overwhelming experience with the Student Painters Team and wish all of you a rewarding, successful future.

Student Painters did a wonderful job on the exterior of our house in Hanover Hills III. They are reasonably priced and have a fine reputation for high quality work.
Our first meeting was with Chase Lawson, the team leader. We found him to be an excellent communicator. His response to our phone request was timely and curteous. He wrote a thorough, complete and clear explanation of the work proposed. He kept in contact to let us know the status of the project at all times and was always available to answer questions.
