Steve Acorn - President
In 1985 I started with the company as a Branch Manager in Sarnia, Ontario. As President of the company for over 23 years, I have had the wonderful opportunity of working with students from all over the Midwest. Being able to mentor and guide them in finding their true potential as young business men and women is extremely rewarding. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right person. If you have heart, desire, and a hard work ethic, it is amazing what can be achieved. It is very exciting to watch the growth of the student managers throughout their career with Student Painters. Each Manager can tell an incredible story to any full time employer once they have completed their journey with Student Painters. A story that will definitely set them apart from their peers. When they graduate and go out in the real world, I look forward to finding out what career path they have chosen and how being a part of Student Painters helped them achieve their goals.

Charlie Licari - Managing Partner, Illinois Division
I started with Student Painters when I was in college at Oakland University. The greatest enjoyment for me is the fact that I can help an ambitious college student begin their path towards entrepreneurial freedom. Our vision and passion for what we do combined with our manager’s determination and grit creates a winning atmosphere and a culture that is unparalleled. Here at Student Painters, you don’t read about building a successful business, you actually create one and in turn open the door to incredible growth opportunities with Student Painters.

Scott Snyder - General Manager, Ohio Division
I was initially hired as a Branch Manager with Student Painters during my freshman year of college at Miami University, OH. I knew that I had always had an entrepreneurial spirit but I had never had an opportunity to try my hand at running my own business. My first year with Student Painters I learned how to deal with employees and earn the trust of homeowners. My confidence grew tremendously and I really did enjoy the journey of running my own business. I ended up running my own business with Student Painters for two more summers during my college years. I now have the wonderful opportunity of coaching other college students to realize their full potential as entrepreneurs. Every year is a new challenge and I truly enjoy the excitement and opportunity that working for Student Painters offers.

Joel Puthoff - Vice President, Carolina's Division
I graduated from Wittenberg University with a Business Management degree and amazing business experience from Student Painters. At the age of 20, I started my journey with Student Painters learning and developing a wide variety of entrepreneurial skills. I have come to a position where I now develop eager and hard working college students to make a difference in their futures. I get no better joy than to train a college student that possesses the passion to learn and develop themselves in the hope of making a difference in their life. Here at Student Painters we believe that hard work reaps many benefits and if you set your mind to being a winner, winning is the only option.

Ben Burke - General Manager - Missouri
My employment with Student Painters began when I was a 19 year old freshman at Illinois State University. That summer, I realized that running my own business was right for me. I have had an outstanding experience with Student Painters: two years running my own crews and three years as an Executive Manager has accelerated me towards my learning potential. I deeply enjoy working with motivated, business-minded college students. There is no better environment for young professionals to hone their business skills. For these reasons, I chose to take on a Vice-Presidential role beginning in October, 2010. I am excited about the future growth of my division, and our company as a whole.

Carla Campanella - Head Receptionist & Newsletter Editor in Chief
I have been employed with Student Painters since May 2007. I am currently attending Western Michigan University. My duties include: answering phones, customer service, Quality Ratings/Painter Points, and general office duties. During this time, I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with the company. The work in the office as an administrative assistant has really prepared me for a career after college. I feel that I’ve improved on skills such as working with computers, being more organized and communicating with customers. Even my parents noticed a change in the way I went about things. Student Painters is a great place for anyone to start off in the work field.
